I was a bride a long time ago—well, not that long ago. We got married in 2014. I was young, full of ideas, and I poured my heart into every part of our wedding. I planned it all myself, designed everything, and because I’ve always loved the little details, I spent countless hours on Pinterest collecting inspiration. Whatever I couldn’t buy… I made. (Yes, I spray-painted over 200 jack-be-little pumpkins. My hands were gold—literally.) Fast forward to today: I’ve been working in the wedding industry for six years now. And if there’s one piece of advice I give to every couple, it’s this—set aside time for detail photos.

Why? Because my approach to photographing your wedding day is to capture it exactly as you planned it. Even if you don’t consider yourselves a “details-obsessed” couple, think about this:
- The flowers—you picked them for a reason. From your bouquet to your bridesmaids’, to your groom’s boutonniere.
- The ceremony space.
- The entrance to your reception.
- Every table arrangement, name card, and candle.
- Your dress, your shoes, your jewelry, maybe even a family heirloom.
- Your hair and makeup.
- The programs, the signs, the photo collages, the little reserved seats for loved ones who couldn’t be there.

You spent months, sometimes years, dreaming, planning, and pulling it all together.
Even if you’re not big on details, they’re part of your story. They deserve to be remembered.
So yes, make time for the details. You won’t regret it.
