My Clients Favorites: A Location Guide For Your Next Photography Session
Looking for the perfect backdrop for your next photography session? These are some of my clients favorites, mine too! I love having sessions at all of these spots! Whether you’re updating family photos, celebrating senior sessions, surprise proposals or planning your engagement session these four Pennsylvania spots offer a mix of nature, history, and charm. From wide open landscapes to garden vibes and rustic ruins… there’s a little something for every style.
1. Trexler Nature Preserve
4935 Orchard Road, Schnecksville, PA 1807
If you’re all about that golden hour glow and wide open views, Trexler Nature Preserve is calling your name. Rolling hills, grassy meadows, winding trails, and even bison (yes, actual bison) it’s a dream location for outdoor shoots. Whether you’re doing a cozy couple session, a family shoot with energetic kiddos, or a solo vibe session, there’s plenty of space to roam without bumping into crowds. Bonus: the light here is chef’s kiss near sunset.
Why you’ll love it: Natural beauty, open skies, and all the rustic outdoor vibes. Plus, it’s super photogenic year-round!

2. Lock Ridge Furnace Museum
525 Franklin Street, Alburtis, PA
This place is giving vintage meets moody industrial. With stone ruins, ironwork details, and lush greenery sneaking through cracks, Lock Ridge Furnace Museum is a hidden gem for anyone wanting something a little different. It’s especially magical in spring when the wisteria starts blooming — imagine dreamy, draping flowers against weathered stone. It’s a whole vibe. Also a fave for engagement shoots and senior portraits.
Why you’ll love it: Historical charm, textured backgrounds, and a little fairytale-meets-grunge feel.

3. Burnside Plantation
1461 Schoenersville Rd, Bethlehem, PA
This 1700s-era farm is a total win for those into rustic and colonial-era charm. Think barns, stone walls, picket fences, and big open fields — all in one spot. Burnside Plantation offers that cozy, countryside aesthetic without needing to go way out into the middle of nowhere. It’s perfect for fall sessions (pumpkins + flannel = yes please), but truly shines year-round. The mix of nature and preserved architecture gives you a lot of variety for just one location. Also note: this is one of my personal favorites because this is where MY wedding photos were taken in 2014!
Why you’ll love it: Classic rustic setting, historical details, and a super warm, homey atmosphere.

4. Tyler Gardens at Bucks County Community College
*(Fee: $100) Newtown, PA
If you’re looking to go full romantic garden mode, Tyler Gardens is the spot. Picture formal stone staircases, fountains, manicured hedges, and blooming florals everywhere. It’s straight out of a European daydream.Yes, there is a $100 permit fee and you must reserve a time sensitive slot, but it’s totally worth it if you want that elegant, timeless look for your photos. Ideal for engagement sessions, maternity shoots, or when you just want to feel like royalty in your portraits.
Why you’ll love it: Garden glam, tons of elegance, and dreamy backdrops at every turn.
